Five Barenbrug employees have recently been working hard to make a riding school in the Dutch village of Bennekom look shipshape again. The volunteers painted the riding school that is suitable for children and adults dealing with severe disabilities. Painting the stables was a project that was made possible by Barenbrug’s ‘Helping with Hands Foundation’. Thanks to these workers, many people can enjoy a ride in a covered wagon. Barenbrug is proud that it can help in this way to improve the quality of life for some disabled people.
Riding school without obstacles
The board, staff and volunteers who help out in the riding school work alongside and with great respect for the people who need their help. They get along really well with each other. Furthermore, the riding school aims to participate in scientific research into the effects of the riding in covered wagons, encourage this research and provide a platform for discussion and exchange of knowledge.
The board of the riding is very pleased with the result. “It was good team work, all the hard work resulted in happy customers. The stables look perfect now and can now be used again for their original purpose.”
