Barenbrug Argentina initiates program for social inclusion
Barenbrug Argentina initiated a new program that aims to foster social inclusion and at the same time helps to protect the environment.
The project
This great initiative is being carried out in alliance with women from a vulnerable neighborhood in Pergamino, the city where Barenbrug Argentina is located. These women attend “Emprender”, a sewing workshop organized by the local government.
With our discarded seed bags, these women make bags to be handed out to our customers as promotional material. Through this action Barenbrug Argentina was able to make a difference in two ways:
- Generate work for this group of women in need (this is their first paid practice) and, at the same time,
- Take care of the environment by recycling discarded seed bags that would otherwise be thrown away.
