On Friday 23 June 2023, it was time to roll up our sleeves for our annual Helping with Hands activity. A total of 16 pairs of hands helped at three Siza locations in Bennekom, the Netherlands.
Siza is an organisation that provides care and support to people with disabilities or chronic illnesses. In addition to treatment, they provide sheltered accommodation and meaningful daytime activities for their clients.
Our volunteers carried out various tasks for Siza to make the living environment more beautiful for people with disabilities or chronic illnesses. The activities involved painting walls, making window screens, cleaning awnings, filling pots for the terrace and many more. In addition, we wanted to give the residents a pleasant day. Therefore, we went for a walk with some of the residents and baked cookies and cakes for those who were in the day care centre and would be coming home later. It was a meaningful and fun day. The residents were very happy with the result and that's what we do it for!
