Helping at “Bio Vakantieoord” in Arnhem
“Bio Vakantieoord” is a holiday park in The Netherlands where families with a complex disabled child can spend their holidays together in an adapted bungalow.

With 9 Barenbrug colleagues we’ve spend the afternoon setting-up and decorating Christmas trees in all bungalows. These colleagues, from 7 different departments within Barenbrug Holland, were Rob Janssen, Leendert Kersten, Leon Wielders, Hans Appeldoorn, Noud van der Wielen, Rik van de Munckhof, Vincent Marcelis, Jolanda Smits and Yvonne Meijer.
After a warm welcome with cake and hot chocolate we started our job. The 20 Christmas trees were already waiting for us in the holiday bungalows and in the reception area. In teams of 2 colleagues we decorated all trees. We also decorated the shared living room, dining room and the reception area into a Christmas setting.
It was a fun and rewarding job. We ended the day with glühwine and some snacks. A nice way to close the year with a warm feeling at Bio Vakantieoord.
