In October our colleagues from Barenbrug Belgium picked up a paintbrush for the Sint-Niklaas Day Center.
Sint-Niklaas is a day center that offers day care and occupational therapy for adults with a disability. These people are often unable to enter the work force, but would like to spend their time in a sheltered workplace that suits their needs and capabilities.
A few years ago, the community of Sint-Niklaas initiated the renovation of an old monastery to make it suitable to the needs of people with disabilities. In order to put the last finishing touches on the renovation volunteers were wanted. The Barenbrug Belgium team was able to contribute by repainting some of the rooms. They did a great job!
